Rush Limbaugh Hospitalized While Liberals Display Hateful Remarks
Conservative Talk Show Host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii yesterday, after complaining of chest pains.
Limbaugh's guest host Walter Williams told listeners that the talk radio king "continues to rest very comfortably" at a Honolulu hospital, where doctors planned a complete medical exam.

No Tears For 2009, Thanks To Economic Woes, Health Care, Homeland Security, And A Politically Correct Liberal White House
Sarah Palin on Ft. Hood:
I think that there were massive warning flags that were missed all over the place," she said. "I think that it was quite unfortunate that, to me, it was a fear of being politically incorrect to not, I am going to use the word, profile this guy.
The following rather shocking conversation took place between a journalist at Der Spiegel (a German magazine) and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, (Napolitano was appointed by our very liberal President Barack Obama):
SPIEGEL: Madame Secretary, in your first testimony to the US Congress as Homeland Security Secretary you never mentioned the word "terrorism." Does Islamist terrorism suddenly no longer pose a threat to your country?
NAPOLITANO: Of course it does. I presume there is always a threat from terrorism. In my speech, although I did not use the word "terrorism," I referred to "man-caused" disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur. There is no such word as "man-caused." I looked up the word at Dictionary.com, and this questions was posed: "Did you mean uncaused?" It is scary that Janet Napolitano, the person Americans are supposed to trust regarding their security from terrorists, particularly Islamic Jihadist terrorists, finds the word "terrorism" to be politically incorrect.
Just for fun, here is the definition of the word "terrorism," a real word Dictionary.com had no trouble in defining (in fact, there are three definitions of the word "terrorism" on Dictionary.com):
ter⋅ror⋅ism
–noun
1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.
2. the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.
3. a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.
Origin:
1785–95; terror + -ism

Will Mitt Romney Or Sarah Palin Be The U.S. Republican President In 2012?
Who will be the next Republican President
? Will Mitt Romney win in 2012, or will it be Sarah Palin? This is a difficult question for me to answer. I heavily supported Mitt Romney in the 2008 election. However, I also happen to like Sarah Palin.
If both Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin turn out to be Republican presidential nominees in 2012, it will be a difficult decision at the CONSERVATIVE WORDSMITH.COM headquarters (which consists of one person only: Conservative Wordsmith Susan Baldwin) as to which candidate will receive public support.
You can be sure of one thing though, and that is that my decision won't be based on the fact that Mitt Romney calls himself a Mormon
(Latter-Day Saint) and Sarah Palin refers to herself as being a Christian.
I will not, as many conservative
Christian voters decided to do in the 2008 presidential election, base my support or vote on a candidate's religion, as this violates Article 6 of the United States Constitution (the "no religious test" clause).
If those same conservative Christian voters had put aside their concerns about Mitt Romney being a Mormon believer, and not a Christian believer (even though many Latter-Day Saints claim to be Christians), and focused on Mitt Romney's conservative values, who knows what might have happened in the 2008 presidential election? Perhaps Barack Obama would never have become the U.S. President. Would that have been so bad?

24's Hero Jack Bauer Interrogates Santa Claus Jack Bauer Style: Jack Wants To Know Why Santa Is In the U.S.
Merry Christmas to all 24 fans around the world! And now, for a real treat, watch this new Jack Bauer/Santa Claus video on YouTube. This is just the ticket for those of us who just about can't stand waiting for 24 to start up again in January.
The video begins with Jack Bauer walking into an interrogation room to face a bloody-looking Santa Claus. Jack tells Santa that he has the power to grant Santa immunity for "past and present crimes".
Kiefer Sutherland, in typical Jack Bauer torture mode, starts screaming at Santa to give him names and Santa then recites reindeer names: "Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen". The video ends with Santa Claus wishing Jack a Merry Christmas, and Jack breaking down crying, his face flooded with tears.
As a conservative who is biding my television viewing time until 24 starts up again in January, this video is a temporary cure for the "Missing Jack Bauer Blues." This is fun viewing for winter doldrums, and a must-see video for all Jack Bauer fans.

24's Jack Bauer: Why All The Fuss About Jack's Potential Muslim Conversion?
What is it about Fox TV's 24 character Jack Bauer, portrayed by actor Kiefer Sutherland, that makes so many people, from all over the world, continue to ponder the last moments in Season 7's final episode? This is a fascinating subject for those, like myself, who became a follower of a fictitious, yet seemingly very real, American hero named Jack Bauer. Jack Bauer's name even sounds like someone we might meet in everyday life, does it not?
To many non-Muslim followers of Fox TV's 24, the very idea of Jack Bauer even toying with the concept of converting to the Muslim faith seems to be preposterous, at the very least, for many reasons.
Here are just a few reasons why CONSERVATIVE WORDSMITH.COM thinks that the writers of 24's Season 7, at least the final episode, made a huge mistake:
1. Jack Bauer has consistently been an American hero, fighting against terrorists, particularly Islamic Jihadist terrorists.
2. Jack Bauer has never, in any episode of Fox TV's 24, expressed the slightest interest in any religion, so the thought of Jack suddenly contemplating a deathbed conversion to the prophet Mohammed's Islam religion appears to be ridiculous to many 24 fans.
3. But it isn't only that Jack Bauer has never expressed any interest in a particular religion. There is more to this than meets the eye. Jack Bauer has been a hero to all 24 fans, whether they are conservatives or liberals (and 24 does have both liberal and conservative followers on the political spectrum). When an American hero like Jack Bauer, even though fictitious, suddenly does a really inexplainable thing, like desiring to speak to a Muslim Imam on his deathbed, intelligent fans are bound to ask "why?"

Republicans Mitt Romney Or Sarah Palin: Will Either One Run Against President Obama In 2012?
According to a new poll by Utah TV station Fox 13 and Utahpolicy.com, 53% of the Republicans participating in this poll believe that Mitt Romney will be the top GOP presidential candidate in 2012, while 4% are rooting for Sarah Palin. Mitt Romney, a top contender in the 2008 presidential election, has also written a book, published by St. Martin's Press, and scheduled for publication on March 3 of 2010. 1
A national tour is also on Mitt's 2010 schedule. Tickets are now on sale for Mitt Romney's March 13, 2010 signing event at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah. If you are interesting in joining the 10,000 or Romneyites expected to attend this event, click http://www.mittromneyutah.com.%201/. 1
1 Taking page from Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney readies book blitz, written by Dave Wedge. The above information is a CONSERVATIVE WORDSMITH.COM summary.
Author's Note: Utah is predominantly inhabited by Latter-Day Saints (commonly known as Mormons). Since Mitt Romney is also a Latter-Day Saint, this Utah-based poll should be taken with a rather heavy grain of salt.
I was an outspoken supporter of Mitt Romney in the 2008 presidential election (see my original Townhall.com Conservative Wordsmith blog to read my many popular published Mitt Romney posts).
Even so, I like Sarah Palin, and I believe that she has a good fighting chance to be the 2012 Republican presidential nominee. Sarah Palin could be the first woman in history to become U.S. President, and that would also mean the first Republican woman.

"I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story" Airing On TV Guide Network Sunday Night
If you happen to be a Susan Boyle fan, as I am, you might be interested in watching "I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story" airing on TV Guide Network Sunday, Dec. 13 at 8/7c. "The one-hour special will include interviews with the 47-year-old singer and her friends and many celebrity fans, including producer Simon Cowell."
Unfortunately, I do not subscribe to TV Guide Network so I will not be able to watch the Simon Cowell special. One might think that the story of Susan Boyle and her recently discovered amazing musical talent, both as a singer and a captivating performer, is a fairy tale. However, that is not the case, and it is fortunate, for both Susan Boyle and the rest of her fans all over the world, that her story is true.

Will 24 Hero Jack Bauer Be A Muslim Believer In Season 8?
Will Jack Bauer, the hero portrayed by Kiefer Sutherland in Fox TV's 24 series, be a Muslim believer in 2010's Season 8? In May of 2009, I wrote a post entitled 24 Saga Of Jack Bauer's Confession to a Muslim Imam Continues. The following quotation is an excerpt:
Even though the final episode of 24's Season depicted the dying Jack Bauer confessing to a Muslim imam, I don't believe that Jack Bauer will actually be a Muslim in Season 8. Whether Jack Bauer will or will not be a Muslim when Season 8 premiers in January of 2010 depends, of course, upon whether Jack Bauer is still alive.
I'm guessing that the writers of 24 have by now realized the mistake they made, in the first place, by writing the now infamous Jack Bauer/Muslim imam deathbed scene. They have probably figured out a miraculous, never before heard of, scientific discovery that has revived Jack Bauer from the nearly departed.
My best guess is that there will be no follow-up on 24's Season 8 of the Jack Bauer/Muslim imam deathbed confession scene at all. The writers, in my opinion, will simply pretend that the Muslim imam scene in the final episode of 24's Season 7 never existed, and hope that the many angry 24 fans will be a forgiving TV audience.

Earlier this morning, I wrote a post about Kiefer Sutherland's character, Jack Bauer, as he was portrayed on Monday night's final episode of 24. I have received many hits on my site since then. Obviously depicting Jack Bauer as making his final deathbed confession to a Muslin imam has struck a strong chord with many 24 fans.
I have been an avid fan and follower of 24 since Day 1, and I don't recall Jack Bauer's religion having ever been mentioned on any of the previous episodes. Jack Bauer, having been a crusader, in a manner of speaking, against terrorism in past episodes, Muslim Jihadist terrorism in particular, has never shown any religious interest in becoming a Muslim.

Sarah Palin: "She's Not Retreating; She's Reloading."
I don't understand how any conservative could not like Sarah Palin. Now if you are calling yourself a conservative, but you secretly despise Sarah Palin and harbor fond thoughts about President Barack Obama, then that is a different situation.
In any case, Sarah Palin's new book, "Going Rogue: An American Life" is already a best-seller even though it is not scheduled to appear in your local bookstore until tomorrow, November 17. In the meantime, Sarah Palin appears on the Oprah Winfrey show today.
"One year later, Palin has seen more than her fair share of controversies but has emerged as one of the hottest Republican stars and is among the early leaders for the 2012 presidential nomination."
"We came back [from the campaign] to a new normal in Alaska. Everything had so changed in my administration," Palin continued. "There were so many opposition researchers up there in Alaska that were sent, probably, by the Obama camp. ... It was a point where my state of Alaska was being hampered by my presence there."
"Ultimately though, Palin made clear the move wasn't so much an end as it was a beginning."
"My dad's quote sums it up better than I sum it up," she said. 'She's not retreating; she's reloading.'"

Sarah Palin Is A Superstar Politician On Twitter And Facebook
If you think Sarah Palin is out of the political picture, think again. According to Matthew Continetti, associate editor of the Weekly Standard and the author of "The Persecution of Sarah Palin,"
"She has more followers on Facebook than any politician except President Obama. When I checked on Friday, she had close to 15,000 people following her on Twitter."Source: Sarah Palin wants to friend you
My 550 followers or so on Twitter look rather humble in comparison. Maybe I should change my Twiiter Username from SusanBWordsmith to SusanBWordsmithPalin. There's a thought.
