Religious Intolerance VS Righteous Anger: Imam Rauf's Ground Zero Mosque

The following article regarding 36 religious leaders, Muslim Imam Rauf, and Imam Rauf's plans to build a Muslim mosque, or Cordoba Cultural Center, near New York City's Ground Zero, was originally written and published on Wednesday, September 8, 2010.

Thirty-six religious leaders representing Christians, Jews, and Muslims met in Washington D.C. on Tuesday night, having responded to an invitation of the Islamic Society of North America. The sentiments expressed by these 36 religious leaders, in regards to the majority of Americans who are protesting plans to build a Muslim mosque near Ground Zero, is that these Americans are bigoted and guilty of religious intolerance. Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick, a Roman Catholic archbishop, asserted that protests concerning the building of a Muslim mosque near Ground Zero are "not American."

Those of you who are familiar with my published writings know that I am against religious intolerance. As a matter of fact, I have written and published several articles about tolerance vs. intolerance. For example, I fully supported former Republican Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, a Mormon (Latter-Day Saint), when he was campaigning for United States President during the 2008 Presidential Election. I outspokenly criticized those, including some (not all) born again Christians, who refused to support Mitt Romney solely because of his religious beliefs.

I don't like religious intolerance of any kind. For this reason, I don't use my words to bash all Muslim believers. In fact, whenever I have written, or continue to write, about Islam, my emphasis and focus has been, and is, on fanatical Muslim views as they relate to Muslim or Islamic (Jihadist) terrorists and terrorism. Consequently, I am appalled at the extent that certain prominent religious leaders have taken in order to support the plans to build a Muslim mosque near New York's Ground Zero.

In the meantime, it turns out that a Muslim imam is behind the building of the Ground Zero Mosque. Previously, news reports indicated that Muslim businessmen are responsible for the idea. But Feisal Abdul Rauf is the man, the Muslim imam, behind the plan to construct a Muslim mosque near New York City's ground zero. You can read what Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf wrote in a recently published New York Time's Op-Ed Opinion article entitled "Building on Faith."

Among other things, the Imam Rauf states that the plans are to build a community center called Cordoba House, in which there will be designated prayer areas for Muslims, Jews, Christians, and those of other religious persuasions. Feisal calls this a "multifaith, multinational effort." Plans are to include a include a "multifaith memorial dedicated to victims of the Sept. 11 attacks."

The problem is this: When you read Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf's "Building on Faith" statement, there is no mention as to why the Cordoba House needs to be built near Ground Zero, as opposed to some other less controversial location. With all due respect to Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf's well-written New York Time's Op-Ed article, is the Cordoba House concept just one more attempt, very cleverly disguised in seemingly spiritual words and garb, at the Islamization of America?

According to Imam Rauf, construction of the Cordoba House has not yet begun. Let those of us who are tolerant conservatives pray that this attempt to ingrain Muslim tenets ever more deeply into American society will not succeed.

Imam Rauf's seemingly religious, spiritual, intelligent, and caring words do not fully indicate the rationale behind the idea to build a Muslim mosque, or Muslim-based community center, in America, near Ground Zero, where over 3,000 innocent Americans were murdered by Muslim terrorists on September 11, 2001. The true and underlying motives and reasons need to be understood in greater depth.

Catholic Cardinal Says Protests Against Ground Zero Mosque are "Not American"

Religious intolerance are key words that express the views of 36 religious leaders regarding the construction of a Muslim mosque near Ground Zero. Religious leaders representing Jews, Roman Catholics, Protestants, Eastern Orthodox, and Muslims met in Washington D.C. on Tuesday night, one night before the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, at the invitation of the Islamic Society of North America.

Certain religious leaders have voiced their opinions that anyone who is against the construction of a Muslim mosque near Ground Zero is tantamount to being a Nazi. The religious leaders did not actually use the word "Nazis" or "Hitler," but the implication is definitely present when you read the religious leaders' comments about the Ground Zero Muslim mosque, even going so far as Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick's assertion that any protest about the building of a Muslim mosque near Ground Zero is not American.

Muslim Fanaticism Is Harmful To Muslims

This is an excellent article that was shared on my Facebook wall today by Kimberly Baehr, a Facebook friend.  The title of Kimberly's Note is: "Facebook | The Peaceful Majority vs. Patriot Activism: Where do you stand? The article is entitled, "A WWII German’s Point Of View On Islam," and the author is Paul E. Marek.

Muslim fanaticism is dangerous to everyone, including those who proclaim themselves to be peaceful Muslims. An Islamic terrorist and a Muslim pacifist differ greatly about their political ideals, but a Muslim pacifist who does and says nothing is not really a pacifist. Why? The so-called Muslim pacifist's silence in the face of brutal Islamic terrorism helps to support terrorists and their ideologies. Islamic terrorist activism is extremely dangerous to America and to the world. It is more than a mere political gesture on the part of fanatical Muslims. It is a statement about their core beliefs, which in and of themselves are extremely frightening.

Obama Says He Has "No Regrets" For Endorsing Ground Zero Mosque

President Barack Obama should have kept silent regarding the Ground Zero mosque. Does Obama have any regrets? According to today's New York Daily News article, Obama has no regrets about his recent remarks in which he endorsed the building of a Muslim mosque near New York city's Ground Zero.

This seems to be one of the many problems that is alienating more and more Americans from Obama's presidency. Obama just doesn't seem to have any regrets over any of his irresponsible acts and words as acting President of the US. I don't think  the word "accountability" is in Obama's dictionary; at least not where Americans are concerned.

Greg Gutfeld To Open Gay Bar for Islamic Gays Near Ground Zero Mosque

On Friday, President Obama staunchly defended the idea of building a Muslim Mosque near Ground Zero. Obama said that Muslims have rights, including the right to buy property and build a mosque, and this includes building a mosque in the New York city area where the tragic events of 9/11 took place.

If Muslims have rights to buy property and build a mosque near Ground Zero, so does Greg Gutfeld of Fox News' Red Eye. Greg Gutfeld wants to break down the Muslim religious walls against homosexuality, and what better way to cater to Islamic gay men than to build a gay bar right next door to the Muslim mosque?

One more thing: Perhaps there should be a sign near the Muslim mosque and Greg Gutfeld's Islamic gay bar reading:

This is the place where American tragedy turned into absurd mockery.

Obama Says Ground Zero Mosque Asserts Muslims' Religious Rights

Obama broke his silence regarding the controversial Ground Zero Mosque at a special Ramadan dinner held for Muslims at the White House on Friday. Obama stated that Muslims "have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country," Obama said, according to a White House transcript. "That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances."

Mayor Michael Bloomberg has turned out to be a huge disappointment, not only to conservatives, but to many New Yorkers, as he verbally applauded President Obama's defense of the mosque. In an official statement issued Friday evening, Mayor Bloomberg also spoke positively about the Ground Zero mosque, saying: "As I said last week, this proposed mosque and community center in Lower Manhattan is as important a test of the separation of church and state as we may see in our lifetime, and I applaud President Obama's clarion defense of the freedom of religion tonight."

Obama continues to succeed at being at odds with the majority of Americans on just about any topic, whether it concerns health care, politics, or religion. The vast majority of Americans (68%) are outraged about Muslims having the gall, and the legal right, to build a mosque near Ground Zero. This is a slap in the face to the relatives of those people who were unexpectedly and mercilessly murdered by Muslim (Jihad) terrorists on 9/11.

Oh, by the way, if Obama thinks Americans don't have the legal right to say the word "Muslim," "Jihad," or "Jihadist" before the word "terrorists," (another word on his politically incorrect list) he had better think again. Does he plan on changing Americans' right to freedom of speech? Is this one of the big "changes" Obama promised during his presidential campaign?

The truth is the truth, and the terrorists (yes, President Obama, there really are terrorists in the REAL world) who flew their airplanes into New York City's World Trade Center on 9/11 were Muslims. This is a fact, and no amount of politically correct editing of words will ever change the facts of what happened on that terrible day in American history. I applaud journalists Peter Nicholas and Julia Love, Tribune Washington Bureau, by the way, for not being afraid to use the words "Muslim terrorists" in their article.

The whole idea of building a Muslim mosque near Ground Zero is so ridiculous that it borders on the absurd. The absurdity and near-lunacy of liberal thinking is evident when political leaders unabashedly state that building a Muslim mosque in the same part of New York City where the World Trade Center once proudly stood is a legal right and a way to test the separation of church and state.

Taliban leader Mullah Omar has ordered Afghan civilians who cooperate with coalition forces or the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to be either captured or murdered. Mullah Omar's order also applies to Afghan women living in Afghanistan.

Mullah Omar's five-point order commands his forces to fight the coalition forces "to the death," and to try to capture coalition forces when possible.

A car bomb driven by a suicide attacker exploded in the Iraqi Capital of Baghdad outside of a police station on Sunday.

One civilian, four policemen, and one other person were killed, and fifteen people were wounded in the attack.

Two Jihadist terrorists from New Jersey were arrested on Sunday morning at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. Kiefer Sutherland Almost Cried During Wrapup Of 24's Final Episode

I caught actor Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer on FOX TV's 24) on NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night. Kiefer Sutherland was honest, about his emotional response to the filming of the final two hours of 24. Kiefer said that even though the cast knew 24 was going to end six months ago, he still couldn't help feeling emotional on the last day the crew was filming the popular hit show.

Kiefer Sutherland said he had to hold his head down. I think he meant either in order to keep from crying, or in order to hide his tears, but he didn't explain that part. Kiefer Sutherland didn't mention the fact that several blogs, including Conservative Wordsmith, have recently published posts about Jack Bauer's shocking recent change of character into what seems to be a maniacal serial killer. Kiefer also didn't mention anything at all about a new 24 movie in the works, so I don't know if there really is going to be a 24 movie or if this is just a rumor.

I hope the now liberal writers of 24 don't decide to have Jack Bauer officially convert to the Muslim religion during the last episode, or decide to write some kind of ridiculous plot twist in which it turns out that Jack Bauer has been a secret terrorist all along. I hardly believe the writers will be able to come up with something that unbelievable, but, in light of what is happening recently on 24, one never knows. I am still hoping that the final two hours of 24 will be redemptive for Jack Bauer. Even so, Jack Bauer is certainly not innocent of any wrong doings of late, so your guess as to how 24 will end is as good as mine.

I miss the old Jack Bauer. I want the old Jack Bauer back. But, alas, that wish will not be granted, as 24 is quickly approaching the final two hours of the final series, Season 8 , on Monday night, May 24, 2010.

Jack Bauer Becomes Serial Killer on 24 As Liberal Writers Lose All Creativity

Jack Bauer, the former American hero and anti-terrorist on the Fox TV hit 24, has now apparently become somewhat of a serial killer and serious anti-hero. I have been a fan of 24, and of Jack Bauer's, since Day 1, and I must tell you how disappointed I am in the way in which writers of 24 have butchered (no pun intended) the character of Jack Bauer.

What are the not-so-creative minds behind 24 thinking? Do they honestly think Jack Bauer fans are enjoying watching him more or less going berserk on us, and killing just about anyone in sight? Not only that, but Jack Bauer is killing people in extremely gruesome and violent ways. All of these murders presumably stem from the loss of his love, Renee Walker, who was brutally shot down a few episodes ago. I frankly find this reasoning hard to believe, and the change in Jack Bauer's character is difficult to accept.

With only 2 hours remaining until 24 finally ends forever (at least on television, because there might be a 24 movie in the works), I can't believe I'm writing these words, but the fact is that I am almost glad the show is ending. Fans can thank the leftist liberals who took over the production of 24 after conservative Joel Surnow, one of the original creators of 24, quit a while back. When Joel Surnow was running the show, the basic plot had a much more conservative bent from week to week, with a heavy emphasis on fanatical Muslim terrorists whose purpose in living was to destroy America. There were liberal slips once in a while, but now the liberal slips have become fatal errors, and it is my belief that this is why 24 is no longer going to be seen on television after the show ends next week.

I am sad that Kiefer Sutherland agreed to the character change, especially since Kiefer Sutherland might have had a say about this, since he is one of the producers of 24. Perhaps my time can soon be spent more wisely in the reading of a good Jane Austen book on Monday nights. In reading the writings of Jane Austen, it is automatically a sure thing that I will learn something. At least I won't get a dose of "let's see how nauseated we can make our viewers before the show ends."

Am I still planning on watching the final two hours of 24 next week? Yes. I do want to know how the series ends, and, in spite of my bitter disappointment in Jack Bauer, I still hope for his redemption.

Terrorist Suspect Faisal Shahzad Still Being Questioned By Investigators

Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistani man who is now a naturalized American citizen, is still being questioned by investigators. Faisal Shahzad has been charged with an attempted terrorist car bombing that took place in New York City.

"Faisal Shahzad was arrested late Monday and charged with trying to blow up a sports utility vehicle in crowded Times Square on Saturday. Meanwhile, authorities in Pakistan say they have made arrests in connection with the failed car bombing." {1}

"The man charged with numerous counts of terrorism was born in this tiny northwestern village known as Mohib Banda." {1}

Armenian Remembrance Day: Obama Fails To Say The "Genocide" Word

Obama failed to say the word "genocide" on the 95th anniversary of Armenian Remembrance Day, the day in which Armenians mourn for the 1.5 million Armenians who were murdered by the Turkish Muslim Empire, commonly referred to as the Ottoman Empire.

The Armenian "Holocaust," (Armenians and Jews both use the word "Holocaust" when referring to the mass genocidal slaughter of their ancestors) was a mass genocide, and will remain so historically, in spite of Obama's failure to say the word "genocide," favoring the words "Meds Yeghern" or "Great Catastrophe" instead.

Even though Obama called this mass slaughtering of Armenians "one of the worst atrocities of the 20th century," [1] he just could not seem to get the word "genocide" to proceed from his brain to his lips, via his speech on behalf of the Armenian people on Armenian Remembrance Day, April 24, 2010.

Obama has a habit of choosing to use cleverly disguised words in his public statements, words he considers to be politically incorrect. For example, Obama seems to have a serious problem in using words related to terrorism, or terrorists, especially if those terrorist happen to be violent fanatical Muslim practitioners of Islam, i.e, Islamic Jihad terrorists. In the particular case of Armenian Remembrance Day, Obama did not wish to offend Turkey, Turkish leaders, or the Turkish government.

"Obama's use of Meds Yeghern "is an elegant dodge to avoid using the 'g-word' -- but the substance of what he states about what happened gives no comfort to those who cling to the Turkish official version," says Harvard University's Andras Riedlmayer. "1.5 million Armenians were rounded up and massacred or marched to their death. Despite the passive construction, that assumes intentionality." [2]

"Nevertheless, such nuance was not appreciated by the Armenian American lobby group, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), which rapped Obama for 'disgraceful capitulation to Turkey's threats' and of 'offering euphemisms and evasive terminology to characterize this crime against humanity,' in a press release Saturday." Terrorism Is A Real Word and Politically Correct Politicians Don't Own It

Why I am not afraid to use the words "ISLAMIC JIHADIST (JIHAD) TERRORISTS." To not use the word "terrorists" would be to go against everything I believe in. There is no other suitable word. The ultra liberal politically correct "in" crowd prefers to use the words "man-caused disasters" instead of the correct word, "terrorism."

This will never suffice, because all true AMERICAN PATRIOTS know that the REAL WORD is "TERRORISM," "TERRORISTS," and "ISLAMIC JIHADIST (JIHAD) TERRORISTS." If using these words makes you uncomfortable, then perhaps you ought to ask yourself why you have sympathy for those Muslim Jihad fanatics who murder and behead other human beings in the name of their so-called god, Allah?

Why I am not afraid to write or say Politically Incorrect words: I don't believe politically incorrect speech should include racist, anti-Semitic, anti-White, anti-Black, anti-Christian, anti-Mormon or anti-Anybody words or phrases. Politically incorrect words come into play when the attempt is made to verbally transform the concept of evilness (politically correct) into something not so evil, or even good (politically incorrect). When this attempt is successful, then the time to be politically incorrect has arrived.

Saying or writing the words "Jihad," "Jihadist," "terrorists," "terrorism," "Muslim fanatics," and "Islamic fanatics" is acceptable, even though these words are considered to be politically incorrect by leftist liberals, most of whom hate Israelis and support Palestinians.

Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer Captured "24" Fans' Hearts and Minds

I am going to miss Jack Bauer on Monday nights when "24" ends. After tonight, there will be 8 remaining hours of Fox TV's "24." What will I do with my time on Monday nights when "24" finally comes to an end?

I'm sure I'll put it to good use, but I will miss Jack Bauer. Kiefer Sutherland, you made the world think Jack Bauer is a real person, and I don't think any actor can ever surpass that feat.

Kiefer Sutherland, Your acting abilities in portraying Jack Bauer has been nothing short of amazing. You captured the hearts and minds of men and women, political conservatives and liberals, in America and throughout the world.

Thank you, Kiefer Sutherland, for giving us riveting Monday nights of pure escapism for the past several years. "24" fans cheered when you captured and tortured Jihadist terrorists, enjoying a few politically incorrect minutes. Thank you, Kiefer Sutherland, for depicting Jack Bauer as a true American hero for "24" fans in America and throughout the world.

Jack Bauer "24" Special On Fox TV Monday April 5 8 -10 PM ET/PT

Jack Bauer will be on Fox TV's "24" for an extra hour tonight. I can hardly wait to see what Jack Bauer will be up to on this 2-hour Fox TV 24 Special, which begins at 8 PM and ends at 10 PM ET/PT. After tonight, there will only be 8 hours left, and Jack Bauer fans (including Conservative Wordsmith Susan Baldwin) will no longer be able to look forward to seeing Jack every Monday night.

Also worth mentioning is: The popular Fox TV show "House" will not be aired tonight due to the extra hour of "24" taking up the "House" time slot.

24 Canceled: Kiefer Sutherland Breathed Life Into 24 Hero Jack Bauer

"24" is canceled. It's official. Now Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) can't save the world, nor can he save America from Jihadist terrorists. Jack Bauer never really could save anyone because Jack Bauer isn't a real person.

Nevertheless, Jack Bauer has seemed like a real friend, political ally, and hero to fans all over the world, both conservatives and liberals, since 2001, shortly after the horrible events of 9/11. It was reported a few seasons ago that Conservative Talk Show Host Rush Limbaugh flew to the Los Angeles, CA area to visit the "24" behind-the-scenes set because he was such an enthusiastic fan.

I will sorely miss Jack Bauer. "24" is one of the few television shows I watch, and I have looked forward to the little escape mechanism "24" provided, with the help of Kiefer Sutherland. Kiefer Sutherland is the actor who breathed life into Jack Bauer, and made him seem like a real human being.

"24" has, sadly, been canceled. Soon Jack Bauer will fade into the memories of his fans. "24" will be ending after 10 more hours of episodes. The announcement was made at the end of Monday night's show (March 29). There will be a special 2-hour event of "24" airing on Fox on Monday, April 5, beginning at 8 PM in Los Angeles, CA.

Why 24 and Jack Bauer Are Leaving Fox TV: A Conservative Analysis Of 24

Jack Bauer, Anti-terrorist (actor Kiefer Sutherland) has 10 remaining hours to save America from terrorists and regain his conservative political stature. Jack Bauer lost some of his conservative convictions when he made a death-bed confession to a Muslim Imam during the final episode of Season 7.

It's official. "24" has been canceled, and will be ending after 10 more hours of episodes. The announcement was made at the end of Monday night's show (March 29). CONSERVATIVE WORDSMITH.COM believes there are several reasons why "24" will no longer be on the air.

The original U.S. President in Season 1, President David Palmer, portrayed by actor Dennis Haysbert, should never have been assasinated in the first place, because he was the hit show's best president.

The writers should never have changed Jack Bauer, portrayed by Kiefer Sutherland, (who won a Best Actor Emmy) from an anti-Islamic Jihadist terrorist hero to a heroin addict. As soon as the writers of "24" realized this was a big mistake, they had Jack Bauer recover from the heroin addiction in Season 3. I still forgave Jack back then because his character was so intriguing.

The writers never should have changed Jean Smart's ultra-conservative character Martha Logan, patriotic and heroic first lady in Season 5, into a raving lunatic duriing a brief appearance in a Season 6 episode. Also, "24" producers never should have eliminated Martha Logan from the series, as actress Jean Smart, in my opinion, was one of the best contributors to the entire "24" series. * See Related Link below.

Similarly, "24" never should have turned Tony Almeida, portrayed by actor Carlos Bernard, from a hero into a villain. Even though Carlos Bernard's acting was phenomenal, this disturbing liberal pattern of "24" turning a conservative hero into a character-flawed heroin addict, another conservative hero into a liberal villain, or an incredibly brave, strong, and partriotic first lady into an insane first lady was never a good move, because this is not what the "24" viewing audience wanted to watch.

There are other reasons why I think "24" is ending, such as the Writers Guild of America Writers' Strike, which caused the series to be off the air for a year, and original creator and producer, outspoken political conservative Joel Surnow, unexpectedly deciding to quit "24" early in 2008. * See Related Links below.

It was only after conservative Joel Surnow left "24" that the show really started to go down hill. Liberals took over and the writers made a huge shift from mostly conservative and politically incorrect politics to mostly liberal and politically correct politics.

Will I miss Jack Bauer? Yes. Was Annie Wersching as Renee Walker a great addition to Season 8? Yes. Will Jack Bauer and Renee Walker end up getting married in the final episode? Maybe.

In the final analysis, should "24" be ending in 2010? Perhaps the show could have remained on television for yet another season, or more seasons, if Jack Bauer had not confessed to a Muslim Imam in Season 7, but it's difficult to know this for certain. In any case, my weekly habit of meeting Jack Bauer in my living room via my televison set will be ending after 10 more hours of "24" episodes.

How To Escape Obama's Health Care Plan: Join The Amish Or Convert To Islam

In light of media coverage proclaiming that President Obama's new Health Care Plan is to cover 94-95% of Americans, I have been wondering who the other 5-6% might be. I thought about the Amish. They don't believe in health insurance, but prefer to take care of each other when in need or ill, which is a Christian concept, and part of their strict Christian faith.

I respect the Amish, although I don't agree with some of their tenets. At least they are a peacable people, and generally don't go around physically harming others. On my Townhall.com weblog I previously wrote and published a post about the Amish being exempt from the Military. *See Link To This Post Below.

I have also been wondering about Christian Scientists who, based on their religious beliefs, generally don't believe in going to doctors at all, but rely on their own internal Christian Scientist practitioners. Will they be exempt also?

I have now been alerted to a post published today on American Thinker about the Amish being exempt, due to their religious beliefs, from the new Obama Administration Health Care Plan. Christian Scientists are not mentioned in this particular article, but Orthodox Muslims are! And this has to be the epitomy of nonsensical political correctness within the logic of those who invented this extremely controversial Health Care Plan.

Anyone who lives in the vicinity of Los Angeles, California, which includes myslef, is quite aware of the fact that there are a large number of Muslim doctors in this area who definitely accept medical insurance. My guess is they're not Orthodox Muslims. In fact, the American Thinker post states: "Whether it's all right to serve as a doctor, nurse, or orderly caring for patients whose medical services are being paid for by insurance is not covered in the present response ... "

To quote the American Thinker article:

It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah (15/251):

"In Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa'imah (15/277) there is a quotation of a statement of the Council of Senior Scholars concerning the prohibition on insurance and why it is haraam:

Firstly: Commercial insurance of all types is haraam because it involves ambiguity, riba, uncertainty, gambling and consuming people's wealth unlawfully, and other shar'i

Secondly: It is not permissible for the Muslim to get involved with insurance companies by working in administration or otherwise, because working in them comes under the heading of cooperating in sin and transgression, and Allaah forbids that as He says: "but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment"
