Would Obama Win Election If Voters Voted Today?

Would you vote for Obama today? I recently won a WebAnswers Best Answers Award for my answer to the question: Would you vote for Obama? Granted, there were only 2 answers to this question about voting for Obama in light of what people now know, particularly regarding Obama's Health Bill. Nevertheless, I would like to share my answer with you.

Obama Poll: Republicans Earn Voters' Trust on Health Care Issue

The Rasmussen Reports Daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday, April 5, the day after Easter Sunday:

Strongly Approve 34%
Strongly Disapprove 41%
Presidential Approval Index rating = -7%

I wrote a post on March 19 regarding the Rasmussen Reports Daily Presidential Tracking Poll for that day. On March 19 the Presidential Approval Index rating was -21%.

According to Rasmussen Reports, the number has gone up from -21% to -7% due to the overwhelming support Obama has received from Democrats since the passing of Obama's Health Bill.

Also according to Rasmussen Reports, the number of voters listed in the Strongly Disapprove category has remained 40% for months due to the fact that Obama's Health Bill has had either a slight effect or no effect on Republican and unaffiliated voters. Similarly, 53% of Americans now trust Republicans more than Democrats on the issue of health care.

Conservative Wordsmith Commentary:

I think it is a good sign that American voters trust Republicans more than Democrats on the issue of Health Care.

It would be better if the number increased from 53% to, say, 93%. It would be equally good if American voters would learn to trust Republicans more than Democrats about other issues as well.

America's voters need to learn the truth about Republicans; American voters should read more about American history in relationship to the Republican party. As a starter, I recommend you read my post:

Obama Takes A Back Seat To Bush In Recent Poll

President George W. Bush (Republican) is now more popular than President Barack Obama (Democrat).

The March 19, 2010 Rasmussen Reports Daily Presidential Tracking Poll indicates the following:

1. Strongly Approve: 23%

2. Strongly Disapprove: 44%

This equals a result of -21%.

from: Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

Conservative Wordsmith Commentary:

Yes, -21% is President Barack Obama's Presidential Approval Index on Friday, March 19, 2010.This Rasmussen poll news is nothing new. In Obama's Poll Numbers Are Falling to Earth, written by By Douglas E. Schoen and Scott Rasmussen, and published in the Wall Street Journal on March 13, 2009, (a little over 1 year ago), the writers stated that, according to the poll data on that date, "Mr. Obama's approval rating is dropping and is below where George W. Bush was in an analogous period in 2001."

Obama's Presidential Approval Index rating on March 13, 2009 was 6%.

Ronald Reagan Foretold Inherent Dangers In Obama Forcing Socialism Down Americans' Throats

President Barack Obama has no right, as President of the United States of America, to coerce Americans into paying for medical care. America is a democracy, not a kingdom, and Obama is a president, not a king.

I don't think he gets that, though, and this is extremely troubling to many Americans, including myself. The great and beloved U.S. President Ronald Reagan was way ahead of the political climate that has just occurred regarding the passing of Obama's Health Care Reform Act by Congress.

President Reagan warned Americans years ago, in 1961 to be exact, about the inherent dangers present in socialized medicine. In Ronald Reagan Speaks Out Against Socialized Medicine, a 1961 LP featuring Ronald Reagan speaking for more than 10 minutes, President Reagan said: "subsidized medicine would curtail Americans' freedom" and that "pretty soon your son won't decide when he's in school, where he will go or what he will do for a living. He will wait for the government to tell him." 1

President Reagan continues: "Reagan says "One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project, most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can’t afford it." Reagan cites the failure of president Harry Truman's national health insurance proposal as evidence of the American people's rejection of socialized medicine." 1

Senate Republicans Find Needle In Haystack; GOP Hunts For New Glitches

Senate Republicans discovered a glitch in the new Health Care Bill. The Health Care Bill glitch deals with Pell Grants and low-income college students. 1

CONSERVATIVE WORDSMITH.COM COMMENTARY: Democrats rejected every Republican amendment for 9 hours in a row last night and into the wee hours of this morning. Republicans finally noticed a glitch in the Pell Grant early this morning.

Now that Republicans are on a roll, they are going to look for more glitches. Conservatives want to know the answer to this question: Will Republicans find enough glitches in Obama's Health Care Plan to halt it completely?

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on that one. Democrats have an agenda, and they will not let up on their zeal to turn America into a Socialist-bordering-on Communist country.

This is not only about President Barack Obama's Heathcare Bill. It's about a corrupt liberal leftist Congress with too many Democrats who side with the United Nations on too many issues. Perhaps America will soon be called another name -- Obamica? United Nations of American States? Your guess is as good as mine.

"After nine straight hours of beating back Republican amendments, Senate Democrats hit a temporary snag in the nighttime hours early Thursday. They had hoped to complete work on the fix-it bill by midday Thursday and get it quickly to Obama without changes to avoid prolonging what has been a politically painful ordeal for the party." 1

But Republicans learned early Thursday they will be able to kill some language in the bill that relates to Pell grants for low-income college students. That means the altered bill will have to be returned to the House for final congressional approval before it can be sent to Obama." 1

"Democrats described the situation as a minor glitch, but did not rule out that Republicans might be able to remove additional sections of the bill." 1

"Republicans have been hunting for such violations in hopes of bringing down the legislation. Democrats had also been consulting with the parliamentarian, Alan Frumin, and hoped they had written a measure that would not be vulnerable to such problems."

"The development came as the Senate completed nine hours of uninterrupted voting on 29 GOP amendments to the legislation. Majority Democrats defeated every amendment." 1

"By 57-42, Democrats rejected an amendment by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., barring federal purchases of Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs for sex offenders. Coburn said it would save millions of dollars, while Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., called it "a crass political stunt." 1

Democrats also deflected GOP amendments rolling back the health law's Medicare cuts; killing extra Medicaid funds for Tennessee and other state-specific spending; barring tax increases for families earning under $250,000; and requiring the president and other administration officials to purchase health care from exchanges the statute creates." 1

U.S. Economy And Political Machinations Of Obama Health Care Plan In America

The U.S. economy will suffer due to the political machinations of President Barack Obama, and his politically leftist Democratic Congress passing of Obama's Health Care Bill, which has left many Americans feeling fear, confusion, doubt, sorrow, and anger.

Forcing policies upon American citizens against their wills, policies that are not guaranteed rights in the United States Constitution or Bill of Rights, as far as I know, is unconstitutional. This is just one of many sharp contrasts between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats believe in Big Government, and its ability to govern the lives of Americans; Republicans believe in Americans, and their ability to largely govern their own lives.

What the Obama Administration has done should be recognized by the United States Supreme Court as being unconstitutional, and, consequently, illegal. The United States Congress has crossed the line of democracy. At least a dozen attorneys, representing twelve states, are planning to sue the Federal government over President Obama's Health Care Plan.

If creating a National Health Insurance Plan was the #1 top priority in the mind of Barack Obama and his Administration, it should have been accomplished without the use of "force," and without getting the IRS involved in this "force" factor.

Creating 16,000 jobs within the IRS, for the main purpose of penalizing and policing Americans who either can't afford, or simply are not interested in, Obama's National Health Plan, for whatever reasons, is not the way to help the American economy.

Thomas Jefferson Led "Old Republican" Wing of Democratic-Republican Party

Did Thomas Jefferson and James Madison believe in political parties? Yes. As a matter of fact, America's Founding Fathers Thomas Jefferson and James Madison founded the Democratic-Republican Party around 1792. 1

"Jeffersonian purists, or 'Old Republican' wing of the party, led by Jefferson, John Randolph of Roanoke, William H. Crawford, and Nathaniel Macon, favored low tariffs, states' rights, strict construction of the Constitution, and reduced spending. It opposed a standing army. The 'National Republicans,' led by Henry Clay, John Quincy Adams and  John C. Calhoun, eventually favored higher tariffs, a stronger national defense, and 'internal improvements' (public works projects).[4] After the Federalist Party broke up in 1815, many former members joined the D-R's nationalist faction.[5]"

"United States Presidents from the party were: Thomas Jefferson (elected in 1800 and 1804), James Madison (1808 and 1812), and James Monroe (1816 and 1820)."

FEMA Concentration Camps: One More Conspiracy Theory For Truthers

The FEMA Concentration Camps conspiracy theory is on the rise again. "In April of 2009, PM editor-in-chief James Meigs appeared on Glenn Beck's FOX news program twice to debunk conspiracy theories regarding supposed 'concentration camps' being built by the Federal Emergency Management Agency." 1

The facts, however, as in the 9/11 conspiracy theories, and all conspiracy theories are as follows: conspiracy theories, myths and hoaxes only exist in the clever, manipulative minds of their inventors, the conspiracy theorists. On the other hand, debunkers, people who go about debunking myths and conspiracy theories, prove that the imaginary inventions in the minds of conspiracy theorists are false. Experts who practice the art of debunking conspiracy theories expose their falsehood for all the world to see.

Here is one example:

See the photo of a supposed FEMA concentration camp in Wyoming. It is, in reality, a satellite image of a North Korean Forced Labor Camp.

The creators of conspiracy theories have their own agenda, and it is just like this: Creators of conspiracy theories want to convert the minds of everyone to their way of thinking, often for purposes of leftist political manipulation. Unfortunately, there are enough naive and gullible people who are ready and willing to believe almost anything (truthers) and will believe almost anything, especially if it contradicts the political right. This includes those people who claim to be conservatives, including Ron Paul supporters and some libertarians.

1. North Korea/Wyoming
detention center

CLAIM: "There is a minimum of one confirmed
concentration camp built on American soil in rural Wyoming. " The (Department of
Homeland Security) accidentally placed these photos on a publicly accessible
portion of their website " (but) they were pulled within one hour. " The images
are not gone forever though."

FACT: These actually are
legitimate images of "forced-labor colonies, camps, and prisons"—in North Korea.
The images were taken from "The Hidden Gulag: Exposing North Korea's Prison
Camps," a report prepared by the Washington D.C.-based Committee for Human
Rights in North Korea. Then someone manipulated the headers, photo dates and
annotations.
1

Myths and Hoaxes are not real. Conspiracy theories have already been debunked by experts who have exposed their falsehood. To believe in something that is not real just because you don't happen to agree with conservatives is not wise. The creators of conspiracy theories use the prejudices that leftists harbor against conservatives to their advantage, distorting the truth and making it seem true to those who already want to believe that something "else" must be the real answer.

The obsessive compulsion to believe that President George W. Bush, his Republican cabinet, and the American government caused 9/11 is a perfect example. Truthers, or those who believe in myths, hoaxes and conspiracy theories, believe this lie about Bush, Republicans and America -- truthers believe that the conspiracy theory must be the answer, instead of the obvious, and very real, answer, i.e., that Muslim Jihadist terrorists caused the murderous events of 9/11.

"Truthers", the name popularly used for those who believe in, and propagate, conspiracy theories, are unwilling to learn the real truth about any conspiracy theories they have accepted. Conspiracy theories are almost a religious doctrine for them. The irony of the word "truthers" is that truthers do not believe in truth. Instead, truthers believe in myths, hoaxes, conspiracy theories and lies. Do not become the victim of a conspiracy theorist. Do not believe in a hoax. Believe in the truth.

I have come to the conclusion that the unwillingness of truthers to comprehend the truth, even when presented with facts and scientific evidence that have been presented by professional debunkers, is a serious Catch-22 situation. Truthers want to believe in myths, hoaxes and conspiracy theories. Truthers do not want anyone to contradict the "pretend" facts they religiously adhere to, because the conspiracy theorists tell them that even the facts themselves are conspiracies.

Republicans Yesterday and Today: Historical Document Reveals Conservative Ideals

Conservatives were not much different in 1860 than they are in 2010. Republicans have always been especially concerned with the rights of the individual, the economy, and maintaining the principles found in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

The political tenets of President Abraham Lincoln, a member of the Republican Party, still hold true today. It is a fact that the Republican Party took an official stand against slavery. In fact, it was President Abraham (Abe) Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves in America.

Read the following historical Republican document, and learn the shocking truth about the real differences between the political tenets of Democrats (liberals), and the political tenets of Republicans (conservatives). America's government, as understood by Democrats and Republicans, are worlds apart, and this historical document sheds light on some of the major differences between liberal tenets and conservative tenets.

REPUBLICAN NATIONAL PLATFORM

ADOPTED AT CHICAGO, 1860

Resolved, That we, the delegated representatives of the Republican electors of the United States, in Convention assembled, in discharge of the duty we owe to our constituents and our country, unite in the following declarations:

1. That the history of the nation, during the last four years, has fully established the propriety and necessity of the organization and perpetuation of the Republican party, and that the causes which called it into existence are permanent in their nature, and now, more than ever before, demand its peaceful and constitutional triumph.

2. That the maintenance of the principles promulgated in the Declaration of Independence and embodied in the Federal Constitution, "That all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; that to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed," is essential to the preservation of our Republican institutions; and that the Federal Constitution, the Rights of the States, and the Union of the States, must and shall be preserved.

3. That to the Union of the States this nation owes its unprecedented increase in population, its surprising development of material resources, its rapid augmentation of wealth, its happiness at home and its honor abroad; and we hold in abhorrence all schemes for Disunion, come from whatever source they may: And we congratulate the country that no Republican member of Congress has uttered or countenanced the threats of Disunion so often made by Democratic members without rebuke and with applause from their political associates; and we denounce those threats of Disunion, in case of a popular overthrow of their ascendency, as denying the vital principles of a free government, and as an avowal of contemplated treason, which it is the imperative duty of an indignant People sternly to rebuke and forever silence.

4. That the maintenance inviolate of the rights of the States, and especially the right of each State to order and control its own domestic institutions according to its own judgment exclusively, is essential to that balance of powers on which the perfection and endurance of our political fabric depends; and we denounce the lawless invasion by armed force of the soil of any State or Territory, no matter under what pretext, as among the gravest of crimes.

5. That the present Democratic Administration has far exceeded our worst apprehensions, in its measureless subserviency to the exactions of a sectional interest, as especially evinced in its desperate exertions to force the infamous Lecompton Constitution upon the protesting people of Kansas; in construing the personal relation between master and servant to involve an unqualified property in persons; in its attempted enforcement, everywhere, on land and sea, through the intervention of Congress and of the Federal Courts of the extreme pretensions of a purely local interest; and in its general and unvarying abuse of the power intrusted to it by a confiding people.

6. That the people justly view with alarm the reckless extravagance which pervades every department of the Federal Government; that a return to rigid economy and accountability is indispensible to arrest the systematic plunder of the public treasury by favored partisans, while the recent startling developments of frauds and corruptions at the Federal metropolis, show that an entire change of administration is imperatively demanded.

7. That the new dogma, that the Constitution, of its own force, carries Slavery into any or all of the Territories of the United States, is a dangerous political heresy, at variance with the explicit provisions of that instrument itself, with contemporaneous exposition, and with legislative and judicial precedent; is revolutionary in its tendency, and subversive of the peace and harmony of the country.

8. That the normal condition of all the territory of the United States is that of freedom; That as our Republican fathers, when they had abolished Slavery in all our national territory, ordained that "no person should be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law," it becomes our duty, by legislation, whenever such legislation is necessary, to maintain this provision of the Constitution against all attempts to violate it; and we deny the authority of Congress, of a territorial legislature, or of any individuals, to give legal existence to Slavery in any Territory of the United States.

9. That we brand the recent re-opening of the African slave-trade, under the cover of our national flag, aided by perversions of judicial power, as a crime against humanity and a burning shame to our country and age; and we call upon Congress to take prompt and efficient measures for the total and final suppression of that execrable traffic.

10. That in the recent vetoes, by their Federal Governors, of the acts of the Legislatures of Kansas and Nebraska, prohibiting Slavery in those Territories, we find a practical illustration of the boasted Democratic principle of Non- Intervention and Popular Sovereignty, embodied in the Kansas-Nebraska bill, and a demonstration of the deception and fraud involved therein.

11. That Kansas should, of right, be immediately admitted as a State under the Constitution recently formed and adopted by her people, and accepted by the House of Representatives.

12. That, while providing revenue for the support of the General Government by duties upon imports, sound policy requires such an adjustment of these imposts as to encourage the development of the industrial interest of the whole country; and we commend that policy of national exchanges which secures to the working men liberal wages, to agriculture renumerative prices, to mechanics and manufactures an adequate reward for their skill, labor, and enterprise, and to the nation commercial prosperity and independence.

13. That we protest against any sale or alienation to others of the Public Lands held by actual settlers, and against any view of he Homestead policy which regards the settlers as paupers or suppliants for public bounty; and we demand the passage by Congress of the complete and satisfactory Homestead measure which has already passed the House.

14. That the Republican party is opposed to any change in our Naturalization Laws or any State legislation by which the rights of citizenship hitherto accorded to immigrants from foreign lands shall be abridged or impaired; and in favor of giving a full and efficient protection to the rights of all classes of citizens, whether native or naturalized, both at home and abroad.

15. That appropriations by Congress for River and Harbor improvements of a National character, required for the accommodation and security of an existing commerce, are authorized by the Constitution, and justified by the obligations of Government to protect the lives and property of its citizens.

16. That a Railroad to the Pacific Ocean is imperatively demanded by the interest of the whole country; that the Federal Government ought to render immediate and efficient aid in its construction; and that, as preliminary thereto, a daily Overland Mail should be promply established.

17. Finally, having thus set forth our distinctive principles and views, we invite the coöperation of all citizens, however differing on other questions, who substantially agree with us in their affirmance and support. 1

Sarah Palin and USA TODAY/Gallup Poll: Sarah Palin For President In 2012? Majority of Republicans Say Yes!

Sarah Palin is a Republican fave for President in 2012, according to a Huffington Post article published today, July 9.

"A new nationwide USA TODAY/Gallup Poll has found that two-thirds of Republicans want Palin to be "a major national political figure" in the future. In fact a whopping 71% of Republicans say they'd likely vote for her if she ran for president in 2012. And this poll was done after her resignation!

In fact, announcing her resignation on the eve of Independence Day wasn't done so the deed could slide under the radar of a long holiday weekend.

No way. She did it BECAUSE it WAS Independence Day and she wasn't really announcing a resignation. No, she was actually proclaiming "my independence...no more politics as usual." 1

Romney On Detroit: ""I am not open to a bailout, but I am open to a work-out."

Mitt Romney, former Governor of Massachusetts, a Mormon (Latter-Day Saint), and one of the top 2008 Republican presidential candidates, is currently "widely considered to be a 2012 presidential contender," according to a November 24 ABC News article. Romney also said what some considered to be shocking remarks about the bailout of the auto industry in Detroit, Michigan.

"Romney is strongly opposed to the auto industry's request for $25 billion in low-interest loans. He is calling for management shakeups inside the companies as they engage in extensive economic restructuring, and is recommending bankruptcy or similar legal arrangements for America's auto giants."

"'Just sending a check and hoping for the best is not the right choice,'" Romney told ABC News.com Friday, in between campaign stops in Georgia, where he was campaigning for Sen. Saxby Chambliss' re-election.

"'Simply patting the sick patient on the back and saying don't worry, everything will be fine -- that is not the right course for the auto industry,'" Romney said.

"In January, he delivered a speech to the Detroit Economic Club that included this line: "'I am not open to a bailout, but I am open to a work-out.'"

New Gallup Poll: Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney Top Republican Picks In 2012 Presidential Election

According to a new Gallup Poll, Republicans view Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, and Mike Huckabee, in that order, as the top GOP nominees for the Republican party's presidential nomination in 2012.

"The Nov. 5-16 survey asked a nationally representative sample of Gallup panelists who identify themselves as Republicans or are political independents but 'lean' to the Republican Party to say whether they 'would or would not like to see' each of 10 Republicans 'run for president in 2012.'"

"Palin, Romney, and Huckabee -- all of whom raised their national profiles during the 2008 campaign -- top the list. Romney and Huckabee unsuccessfully sought the presidential nomination versus John McCain, and McCain tapped Palin as his vice-presidential running mate."

Sarah Palin 67%
Mitt Romney 62%
Mike Huckabee 61%

Mitt Romney In 2012? Maybe a Mormon Will Be U.S.President Afterall!

Mitt Romney, the candidate I supported and blogged about so often last year, is currently on the National Review's annual cruise with 700 other conservative activists. According to an article on CNN.com, Mitt Romney's popularity is high, and the Republican party is showing interest in him as a presidential nominee for 2012.

"But it isn't just any cruise and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney isn't just any Republican. Since the economy began its historic downturn six weeks ago, Romney's stock in his party appears to have skyrocketed." 1

"But even as Romney publicly declares he has no intentions to run again, several former aides said they believe he will, and this week's get-together with leading conservatives is only the latest sign the man who spent more than $50 million of his own money to vie for the party's nomination last year is itching to do it again." 1

Way to go, Mitt! I still believe you would have been the best U.S. President in the 2008 election, and maybe there is still a chance for this to happen in 2012.

McCain Or Not McCain? That Is The Polling Question!

Is the answer John McCain/Sarah Palin or Barack Obama/Joe Biden? Do the polls show absolutely, without any shadows of doubts, that Obama will definitely win the 2008 Presidential Election? If that were the case then there would never be any reason for Americans to vote at all.

No matter how much the liberal media may have convinced you that there is no chance either in Heaven or on Earth that Republicans will ever live in the White House again, there is still the possibility that the liberal media is wrong. If you believe them, then logic indicates that you might also be equally wrong.

If you are a conservative, please don't allow the liberal media to persuade you that Barack Obama has already won. Liberals want you to stay home, or in your office, wherever the case may be, and sulk all day. You will make their day if you don't vote tomorrow.

Actually, according to the Daily Tracking Poll at
Rasmussen Reports, today's poll indicates:

Obama 52%
McCain 46%

Compare this to today's most recent
ABC News/Washington Post poll:

Obama 53%
McCain 44%

Those 3 extra percentage points that ABC News and the Washington Post have given to Obama today might be a lot different tomorrow. They shouldn't count their chickens (or presidents) before they hatch, and neither should you.
